Find all six Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 2 Buddha's Eyeballs locations in Fright Cliff to summon Shigandang and trigger a Stone Vanguard kaiju fight.
I didn't set out to become a professional rock-head whisperer in Black Myth: Wukong, but somewhere between getting flattened by the Stone Vanguard and hearing eerie chanting in the Fright Cliff, I realized Chapter 2's Buddha's Eyeball sidequest isn't just collectible busywork β it's a secret boss delivery service. If you're playing in 2026 and still wondering why the statues won't shut up, let me save you some time.

What Are the Buddha's Eyeballs Used For?
These little eyeballs are unique items you pluck from disembodied Buddha head statues. When one is nearby, you'll hear chanting that is equal parts creepy and helpful. Collect all six and you can deliver them to a giant rock in a nearby arena, which awakens the secret boss Shigandang. If you do this while the Stone Vanguard is still stomping around, the two giants will start throwing hands. It's like a free kaiju fight, and you get to watch.
All Buddha's Eyeballs Locations
| No. | Eyeball | Starting Point | Quick Direction |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | First | Gate to Fright Cliff | Head forward past enemies; near Squall Hideout shrine |
| 2 | Second | Squall Hideout shrine | Right path, hug left, do not cross the bridge, keep straight |
| 3 | Third | Squall Hideout shrine | Same route to second, then cross bridge and climb to the highest platform |
| 4 | Fourth | Squall Hideout shrine | Left path, go up, turn left in darker area |
| 5 | Fifth | Rockrest Flat shrine | Take left path and go a short distance ahead |
| 6 | Sixth | Rockrest Flat shrine | Left cavern, turn right, go up, turn right at crystal statue |
First Buddha's Eyeball
After you pass through the gate into the Fright Cliff from where you fought the King and Second Prince of Flowing Sands, keep moving forward. Pass the grunts and, just ahead, you'll spot the first head close to the Squall Hideout shrine. It's the easiest one, so enjoy it before the path gets spicy.

Second Buddha's Eyeball
From the Squall Hideout shrine, take the path to your right and hug the left side. There are annoying enemies on both shoulders, because of course there are. Eventually you'll see a small bridge to your right. Do not cross it yet β keep going straight ahead to grab the second eyeball.

Third Buddha's Eyeball
Repeat the same route you used for the second eyeball, but this time when you see the bridge to your right, cross it. Take the stairs directly in front of you and hop up the platforms until you reach the highest one. That's the third eyeball. If you feel like an acrobat, congratulations.

Fourth Buddha's Eyeball
Return to the Squall Hideout shrine, but this time take the path to your left. Go up while dealing with rock-walking weirdos. When the road turns darker, turn left to find the fourth eyeball and probably an enemy who wants a piece of you.

Fifth Buddha's Eyeball
For this one you need to progress to the Rockrest Flat shrine. From there, take the left path and walk a short distance ahead. The fifth eyeball is practically waiting for you.

Sixth Buddha's Eyeball
Starting from the Rockrest Flat shrine, enter the cavern to your left and turn right, following the path upward. You'll fight a few annoying enemies along the way. When you reach a statue covered in crystals, turn right and look outside β the sixth eyeball is on the platform out there.

Delivering the Eyeballs and Watching the Show
With all six collected, go back to the Rockrest Flat shrine. Take the left path where you found the fifth eyeball and stick to it until you find a gate that leads to a large arena. Inside, there's an enormous rock close to the entrance on your left. Approach it and the Deliver prompt will appear.

Now, about that arena: it's also where the Stone Vanguard boss lives. You can fight them first and then deliver, or β and I highly recommend this β deliver while the boss is still up. The giant rock will awaken Shigandang, and the two titans will start brawling. It's a free boss fight you don't have to win.
With six eyeballs delivered, you can continue through Chapter 2 toward Yellow Wind Sage. But let's be honest: the real victory is watching a rock monster do your dirty work.
